A Personal Experience

I have personally traveled from Jammu to Srinagar via road twice, and I want to share my experience with you. Traveling with my friends, we hired a taxi that was meant to take us from Jammu to Srinagar in the morning. We started our journey early, at 8 AM, and after almost three hours, we reached Perathal, where we had our breakfast. From there, we continued our journey for about six to seven hours and finally reached our destination. This journey was exciting for me, as this was my first time traveling via road and with friends. It was a memorable experience, filled with fun and adventure.

Another interesting stop is when you travel approximately 100 kilometers away from Jammu, you will feel the cool breeze and see tall pine trees on both sides of the road. This halfway point is a refreshing part of the journey. Keep an eye out for a beautiful place named Batalkuchi, which lies halfway through the journey. The tranquil surroundings make it a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the journey.

Travel Time and Seasonal Factors

The travel time from Jammu to Srinagar is roughly 7 hours, subject to various weather conditions. In winters, the journey might take a bit longer due to snow and ice on the roads. The journey is very joyful and enjoyable, especially while driving through the mountains. The mountain scenery, the river flowing beside you, and the occasional glimpse of clouds make the trip truly special. Even on steep turns, you might feel a bit apprehensive, but the overall experience is amazing.
