Hauling Capacity: The locomotive should have the appropriate capacity to haul the rail cars assigned to the train. Type of Locomotive: Whether the locomotive is electric or diesel can also influence the assignment. Shed Alphabet: The shed from which the locomotive is assigned matters. Recent Changes in Indian Railways
