A specific incident from today’s tutorial demonstration clearly highlighted this issue. We were given a set of questions to solve. I solved all of them correctly with just one or two minor mistakes, earning an 8/10. Behind me, a very beautiful girl with a fair complexion was also solving the questions. Despite the tutor finding many mistakes in her program, she only got 9/10. The tutor gave her an extra point based on her 'girl power,' which upset me because I believed my work was superior and deserved a higher grade.
This incident reminds me of the evaluation system in class 10th, where marks were often given for free if a student had a good impression on the teacher. It's not just about understanding the material but also about fostering good impressions to secure better grades.
