Navigating Your Journey from Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2, Mumbai via Etihad Airlines

Welcome to Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2 in Mumbai! If you are traveling with Etihad Airlines, here is a comprehensive guide to help you make your journey smooth and hassle-free.

Check-In Process

Once you arrive at the airport, you can enter through any gate, but keep an eye on the display board to locate the check-in island designated for Etihad Airlines, which is usually denoted by an alphabetical code like A, B, etc. Proceed to the appropriate check-in counter and complete your check-in.

Check yourself in and collect your boarding pass. The check-in clerk will also provide you with an immigration form. Fill this out using a pen, bringing all necessary documents such as your invitation letter, travel insurance, and accommodation details for Dubai.

After completing the immigration form, proceed to the immigration counters. Ensure you have all your documents on hand.

Security Check and Boarding

Before reaching the immigration counters, head to the security check point. Once you clear the security, you can then proceed to the immigration counters, where you can present your filled-in immigration form and relevant documents.

After immigration, move to your designated boarding gate and wait for the boarding call. Board the flight when your name is announced.

Etihad Airlines is known for its exceptional inflight meals and entertainment. Enjoy your journey!

Passport Control and Abu Dhabi-Dubai Transfer

Upon arriving in Abu Dhabi, you will need to go through additional security procedures. Ask the Etihad staff or fellow passengers at the gate whether you need to undergo a retina scan before going to the immigration counter. This scan is typically required for first-time visitors to the UAE but is not needed for those returning.

Note that the retina scan used to be a separate process before immigration, but it is now integrated into the immigration counter. This change can be confusing for frequent travelers who may have to wait as each first-time visitor undergoes the scan.

Since you are traveling from Abu Dhabi to Dubai on an Etihad ticket, you will be transferred to Dubai via a luxury bus during your stay in Abu Dhabi. To find the bus, ask the Etihad staff for directions.

Relax and enjoy the scenic 4-hour drive through the beautiful deserts of the UAE. Make sure to bring your camera, as you will surely find photo opportunities along the way!

Have a wonderful trip to Dubai, filled with unforgettable experiences!
